- December 6, 2010: Dr. Thi Hong Van Hoang defends her PhD dissertation at Orléans University entitled "Le marché parisien de l'or de 1941 à 2009: histoire et finance".
Decembre 1, 2010: Dr. Cédrine Joly defends her PhD dissertation entitled "Pratique(s) de marketing stratégique en contexte de financiarisation: Etude du discours des Directeurs Marketing du CAC40" at the University of Montpellier I.
Novembre 25, 2010: Dr. Katherine Gundolf defends her post-doctoral research degree (Habilitation à diriger des Recherches, HDR) entitled ‘Entrepreneur, entreprise et entrepreneuriat : proposition d'une lecture relationnelle' at Aix-Marseille University.
Novembre 25, 2010: Dr. Sandrine Gherra defends her PhD dissertation entitled "Intégration du éveloppement durable dans la stratégie d'entreprise: une explication par la théorie des ressources et compétences et l'approche des parties prenantes. Le cas du secteur des produits de grande consommation" at the University Aix-en-Provence.
- October 2010: One of Dr. Calin Gurau's articles was awarded top 1 most downloaded article of the year in the the Journal of Communication Management,vol. 12, issue 2 (Gurau C. 2008. Integrated online marketing communication: Implementation and management).
- September 2010: Dr. Nassim Belbaly defended his habilitation to supervise doctoral research ('HDR', post-doctoral research degree) entitled "L'approche du design science au service de la recherche en systèmes d'information".
- October 2009: Dr. Annabelle Jaouen defended her habilitation to supervise doctoral research ('HDR', post-doctoral research degree) entitled "Entrepreneuriat et stratégie : pour une lecture à travers le prisme de la très petite entreprise".
- June 2009: Dr. Guillaume Andrieux obtained the FNEGE AFFI 2008 award for the 2nd best PhD dissertation in Finance (title: 'Comportements stratégiques et diversité des acteurs dans l'industrie du capital-risque – Strategic behaviors and diversity of actors within the venture capital industry'). Six dissertations entered the final round of the award process and two were selected for the annual best PhD dissertation award.
- Avril 2009: GSCM-Montpellier Business School: High-scoring journal article. One of professor Frank Lasch's co-authered articles together with Friederike Welter, titled Entrepreneurship Research in Europe: Taking Stock and Looking forward, published in Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, ranked among the top 20 ET&P articles (measured in downloads) for 2008. Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice has been consistently recognized by the Financial Times as one of the top 35 most influential business journals. ET&P accepts fewer than 15 percent of submitted manuscripts and the most recent impact factor rating of 1.85 ranked it as number 13 of the 72 ranked business journals.
- Juin 2008, Dr. Alexander Groh obtient un best paper award pour sa communication “the opportunity cost of capital of US buyouts” lors de la New World of Private Equity conference et une distinction de la NBER working paper series.
- September 2007:Dr. Alexander Groh was awarded the Featured Paper Award of the Financial Services Institute(New York City, US) for his contribution “The Attractiveness of Central Eastern European Countries for Venture Capital and Private Equity Investors”(together with H. Liechtenstein et K. Lieser, IESE Business School, Barcelona).
- Mai 2007:National ‘FNEGE' award for the best doctoral dissertation in the field of entrepreneurship awardedto Dr. Annabelle Jaouen for herPhD about strategic alliances between small sized firms entitled: Jaouen A. 2005. Les alliances stratégiques entre très petites entreprises: un cadre d'analyse. Doctoral dissertation in management science. University of Montpellier I.
- August 2006:Dr. Hind Benbya received the best paper award in the Academy of Management (Atlanta, US) annual conference for the paper “Mechanisms for Knowledge Management Systems Effectiveness: Evidence from the Silicon Valley”. In K. Mark Weaver (Ed.), Best Paper Proceedings of the Sixty fifth Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (CD), ISSN, 1543-8643.
- September 2005: the paper of Frank Lasch, Frédéric Le Roy & Saïd Yami“The determinants of survival and growth in the French ICT sector” was one of the best 12 papers in the EFMD 35th Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Small Business Conference 2005 (EISB), September 12-14, Barcelona, Spain.
- February 2005: the paper of Frank Lasch, Frédéric Le Roy & Saïd Yami“Survival and growth of start-ups in innovation and knowledge-based branches: An empirical analysis of the French ICT sector”, presented in the IECER, Interdisciplinary European Conference on Entrepreneurship Research, February 2 – 4, University of Amsterdam, Netherlands was published in the best paper book edited by Elsevier : G.T. Vinig & R.C.W. Van der Voort (Eds.), The Emergence of Entrepreneurial Economics, Research on Technological Innovation and Management IX.
